U3600-221 Calculus and Analytic Geometry I

Major topics include analytic geometry, functions, limits and continuity, the derivative, integrals, techniques and applications of differentiation, applications of integration, logarithmic and exponential functions, and trigonometric and hyperbolic functions.

Access to MathXL can be purchased at the MathXL website. The site also provides a browser check and information on which plug-ins are needed to work with MathXL. In addition, Microsoft Word and MathType (an equation editor) are needed for eight major homework assignments. For more information on MathType, please see the MathType information page. If problems are done by hand, a scanner will be needed.
